What is this move supposed to improve?

Start with the player's development need, not the badge or destination. Is the missing piece playing time, position-specific feedback, training level, a safer environment, or a clearer weekly plan? A move that cannot name the problem cannot prove it solves it.

Complete this sentence before comparing names: We are considering a change because the player currently needs… If the answer is only more exposure, ask what development action that exposure is meant to follow.

What must we check before we trust the opportunity?

1. Confirm the organisation, named contacts, venue, schedule, and who supervises the player.
2. Request written terms covering all costs, cancellation, refunds, accommodation, education, insurance, and safeguarding.
3. Verify eligibility, registration, travel, visa, scholarship, or contract claims through the relevant official authority.
4. Speak with more than one current or recent family through a route you can independently verify.

No academy, local environment, or overseas option can promise selection, playing time, progression, or a professional outcome. Written detail and official verification come before urgency.

Count the whole week, not just the football hours. Travel, school, sleep, recovery, sibling needs, parent work, communication, and the player's emotional readiness all belong in the decision.

1. Map a normal school week with the option added.
2. Calculate the full first-month and ongoing family commitments without guessing.
3. Ask the player what they want, what worries them, and what support they expect.
4. Write the exit plan if the environment is unsafe, unsuitable, or not as described.
